Almost 600 flights canceled in Japan due to typhoon - NHK

In Japan, due to Typhoon Haishen, which passed through the southwestern regions of the country, 579 flights on domestic airlines were canceled. This was reported on September 7 by NHK. Changes in the flight schedule affected mainly the airports of the islands of Kyushu and Shikoku, as well as the western part of Honshu Island. It is noted that due to the hurricane wind, the movement of high-speed express trains to Kyushu was completely suspended, and in a number of regions the number of running trains was reduced. Recall that Typhoon Haishen is currently moving from Japan to the Korean Peninsula at a speed of 40 km/h. The wind speed at the epicenter on gusts reaches 60 m/s. Meteorologists warn that the typhoon can bring with it a gale wind and a record amount of precipitation in the form of torrential rains. According to the news agency, more than a hundred thousand residents of Miyazaki prefecture in southwestern Japan received an evacuation recommendation in connection with the approach of Typhoon Haishen.
