The Ugandan Ministry of Health ordered the conversion of Nambule National Stadium in the capital, Kampala, into a temporary hospital to accommodate patients with coronavirus infection, the press service of the department said. The corresponding decision was made in connection with the growing number of people infected with a new type of coronavirus. The temporary hospital will accommodate up to 1,500 patients. At the same time, patients with asymptomatic or mild COVID-19 will enter. The remaining patients will be accommodated in regular hospitals. By 6 September, 3,667 cases of coronavirus of a new type had been confirmed in Uganda. 1,608 patients have already recovered, 41 more have not coped with the disease and died.
