Statisticians noticed an increase in the tax burden on Italian citizens

In 2019, the total tax burden on Italian citizens reached a level of 42.4%, the national statistics service Istat reported on Tuesday, September 22. In comparison with the figures for 2018, the load increased by 0.6%. At the same time, the ratio of the budget deficit to GDP 1.6% in 2019 compared to 2.2% in 2018 improved slightly.
