Learning from Europe: in Moldova patients with coronavirus will be treated at home

The authorities of Moldova decided to change the tactics of treatment of patients with coronavirus: if earlier all infected were hospitalized and isolated in hospitals, now patients with coronavirus in light form will be treated at home. As the Prime Minister of Moldova Ion Kiku said on April 6, patients will be able to be treated at home if they are not at risk and they have no chronic diseases, the news agency reports. Kiku explained that Moldova learned this approach from European countries. You know that people with coronavirus in light form are not hospitalized in Europe. We decided to borrow this approach, he said. The authorities of Moldova, according to him, prepared several premises for the accommodation of patients with coronavirus. In addition to the exhibition center Moldexpo, in Chisinau, patients will be placed in a number of sports complexes, which are able to receive a large number of people. We remind that Moldova has a state of emergency due to the threat of coronavirus spread. By 6 April, the number of cases of COVID-19 had been 965, and 19 people had already died from the effects of coronavirus infection.
