In Israel military will be tested for coronavirus tests of a new model


Israel Defense Forces soldiers and officers will soon be tested for coronavirus using a new serological test set up at the University of Tel Aviv involving the Israeli Medical Corps, Israel's Jerusalem Post reported on May 16. According to the publication, the test analyses blood samples and detects the presence of antibodies in it. Representatives of the University of Tel Aviv report that the analysis takes about one hour. The new test is being certified by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Previously used molecular tests in the Israeli army were found to be insufficiently effective, as they give out a mistake in 30% of cases. According to the news agency, 16.6 thousand infected coronavirus were identified in Israel, of which 267 died.
