Airlines to reimburse costs for export of Russian citizens from other countries

The Government of Russia has allocated 1.5 billion rubles from the reserve fund of the country to compensate Russian airlines for the costs associated with the removal of citizens of the Russian Federation from other countries in which there is an unfavourable situation for coronavirus infection. This is reported on March 28 on the website of the Government of Russia. The signed order of Rosavia allocated 1.5 billion rubles from the reserve fund of the Government of Russia in order to provide subsidies to air transport organizations for reimbursement of costs in 2020, the message reads. It is specified that air carriers will also be allocated money for the export of citizens of foreign countries (CIS, Abkhazia and South Ossetia) who enter the territory of Russia for further travel to the countries of their citizenship. We remind that earlier Russian Ambassador to Belarus Dmitry Mezzeny in an interview with the TV channel ONT said that Russian air carriers will evacuate citizens of Belarus from third countries if possible.
