A Ukrainian military officer shot himself with a mortar in the Donbass. Eight more are wounded

One Ukrainian military officer was killed and eight others were wounded by a mortar explosion at exercises held in the Ukrainian-occupied part of Donbass, the press service of the office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported on April 14. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, during the training shooting at the test site in Donetsk region there was an explosion of a mortar. As a result, a 24-year-old senior soldier of the Special Operations Unit Special Forces Company was killed. Eight other soldiers suffered injuries of varying severity, according to a report published on the website of the agency. According to the news agency, earlier in Ukraine, the quality of 120 mm Molot mortars produced by Ukrainian EFC enterprises, which explode in the course of shooting from them, was repeatedly reported to be extremely low.
