Man convicted of molesting dog in Riga


The Riga District Court upheld the request of the Prosecutor's Office of Jurmala and sentenced a man for bullying a dog to eight months 'imprisonment. About it on Wednesday, April 22, writes the portal LSM. According to the investigation, earlier a man, being in a state of alcohol, began beating the dog of his friend. As a result, the animal was maimed. It is noted that the defendant had already been convicted of a similar crime and sentenced to forced labour. This time, in accordance with article 230, paragraph 1, of the Criminal Code of Latvia, the Riga District Court sentenced the suspect to eight months 'imprisonment and two years' police supervision. The sentence can be appealed to the Riga District Court.
