Macron to attend ceremony to mark 80th anniversary of Battle of Montcorn

This Sunday, May 17, French President Emmanuel Macron celebrates the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Montcorn, reports BFM TV. The Head of State will go to the Department of Ena to take part in the ceremony and celebrate the Battle of Charles de Gaulle on 17 May 1940. An opportunity for the president to celebrate the rejection of concessions and the spirit of resistance, the Elysee Palace said in a statement. For the first time, the head of state will go to the place of this courageous battle, where he will honor the memory of the fighters fighting for France. The president will then make a speech. According to the news agency, earlier French Health Minister Olivier Veran promised to increase wages in hospitals.
