Resident of Brest discovered a mine from the Great Patriotic War

In the Leninsky district of the city of Brest, a local resident found an object resembling a shell from the Great Patriotic War during earthworks on his base, the Evening Brest reported on May 1. According to journalists, the man appealed to the police about the discovered object. Deminers who arrived at the site found that the discovered object was a live mortar bomb from the Great Patriotic War, which was removed and later destroyed. Specialists also checked the site belonging to the local resident for such finds, but no more dangerous items were found. According to the news agency, earlier in Molodechnenskiy district of Belarus about 1.1 kg of waste containing mercury was found.
