Salehi: Coronavirus still remains Iran's main problem
On 18 May, Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Orientation Abbas Salehi stated that coronavirus was still Iran's main problem and the world as a whole. This was reported by the Iranian agency IRNA on May 19. He also tweeted that the danger was still melting, so it was better for all peoples to stick together. Some seem to believe that the coronavirus has come to an end, and so they have initiated national disputes, he said. According to Salehi, relative successes in the fight against coronavirus are the result of consensus and rapprochement of peoples. Salehi made these comments in relation to anti-government statements by newly elected members of parliament under the auspices of the Guardian Council. Salehi warned the anti-government camp against propaganda against the Iranian leadership, saying that radical measures against the government would damage the entire system of governance during the current critical period.
