In the USA want to get rid of vanadium from Russia and China

The U.S. Department of Commerce has launched an investigation into vanadium imports from the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry. The investigation is being conducted as part of a threat to U.S. national security. American vanadium producers argue that China and Russia's industrial policies distort the market, and vanadium imports from these countries pose a threat to U.S. national security, as vanadium is used in strategic industries, particularly aircraft. But vanadium production in the US itself is extremely small, and almost all of the US economy's vanadium needs are covered by imports. If such imports are stopped, there is no guarantee that local producers will be able to meet all demand. In this case, U.S. national security could definitely suffer.
