Japan to donate $4.6 million worth of medical equipment to Uzbekistan

The Japanese government will donate $4.6 million worth of medical equipment to Uzbekistan, Gazeta.uz reports on June 17. On June 17, Uzbek Minister of Health Alisher Shadmanov and Japanese Ambassador to Tashkent Yoshchinori Fujiyama signed exchange notes for assistance. The Japanese side will provide scanners for computed tomography and medical containers. The parties noted that free assistance will help counter the spread of infectious diseases and strengthen the health system of Uzbekistan.
