A noble crisis may come out: an expert on the resignation of the head of the National Bank of Ukraine

There are no votes for the resignation of the head of the Ukrainian National Bank, Yakov Smoly, in the Rada, political analyst Yuri Romanenko said in a comment on July 2. In his opinion, the situation with the possible resignation of Smoliy so far is more like blackmail by the NBU. According to Romanenko, if you count on the votes of the Servants of the People in this matter, the presidential party will not have enough votes to resign. But the noble crisis may come out, the expert predicts. the news agency recalls that on the evening of July 1, the head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Yakov Smoliy, submitted a letter of resignation to the president of the country in connection with his resignation of his own free will. Explaining his motivation, Smoliy said that for a long time systematic political pressure has been exerted on the regulator. Smoliy was appointed head of the Ukrainian National Bank by the parliament of the previous convocation under President Poroshenko in 2018 and has the opportunity to hold this post until 2025.
