State border violator convicted in South Ossetia

On August 21, the Tskhinvali City Court found Georgian citizen Khvicha Mgebrishvili guilty of illegally crossing the state border of the republic. It is reported by the Echo of the Caucasus. According to journalists, Mgebrishvili was convicted under the first part of article 322 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and sentenced to three months in prison. Recall that Mgebrishvili was detained by border guards of South Ossetia on July 3. Later the press service of KGB of the republic distributed video of interrogation of the detainee. He said that he allegedly looked for places where bats live to get their cocoons and sell expensive in Georgia. The department then noted that the bats are viviparous and do not make cocoons.
